On 1 January 2008, secretariat responsibilities were transferred to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). This website contains information on the Convention, the Optional Protocol and the work of the Committee from the 40th session onwards. Schedules of upcoming CEDAW Committee sessions, agendas and documents to be reviewed by the Committee can be found on this website.

 

A large amount of key information on the CEDAW Convention and reporting can also be found on the website of the UN Division for the Advancement of Women (DAW), previously the secretariat for the CEDAW Committee and CEDAW review process. The information on this website dates from the adoption of the Convention right up until 31 December 2007.
